Procedure Details and Benefits
Volume and shape are added to any flat area of the skull by injecting autologous fat (fat taken from the person’s own body).

The back and upper parts of the skull become more curved/convex.

Not all of the transferred fat survives; the average retention rate is 50%. Therefore, a second procedure can be performed if necessary.

Unlike skull silicone, bone powder, or mesh covers, no incisions are required on the scalp. The fat is injected using large needles.

Since it is performed using the person's own fat cells rather than a foreign body, there is no risk of an allergic reaction.

Compared to foreign substances like skull silicone and mesh, the risk of infection is almost non-existent.

It is more cost-effective than other methods, especially skull silicone surgery.

Because the doctor injects the fat step-by-step during the procedure, it allows for better shaping of the skull.

Considerations and Side Effects
The biggest disadvantage is the partial melting (resorption) of the fats. While this varies from person to person, the average permanence is 50%. It is important to inject more fat than initially needed, anticipating that some will melt.

Temporary hair loss (which can also occur with other surgical techniques, but the hair grows back later), fluid accumulation in areas where fat melts (can be drained with a needle; if not, it is absorbed by the body over time).

Because fat tissue contains stem cells that take on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue, the treated area feels firm rather than soft after the procedure.
