In IVF, eggs are placed in two ways.
In the laboratory, the fertilization process consists of leaving the s***m next to the eggs and waiting for the s***m to enter the egg on their own and fertilize the egg (classical IVF).
It is accomplished through fertilization (microinjection) by injecting s***m directly into the egg using a pipette under a microscope.
In vitro fertilization specialists choose between the two methods based on the features of the couples. The goal is to maximize the couple's chances of success.
