This patient came to us from abroad with severe scoliosis, presenting a spinal curve greater than 90° and significant breathing difficulties.
🔹 Treatment process:
- We first applied halo gravity traction (HGT) to gradually reduce the spinal curve and prepare the patient for surgery.
- Following traction, we performed a posterior spinal fusion surgery with instrumentation to correct the deformity.
- During the early postoperative period, pulmonary function values (FVC, FEV1) temporarily declined, which is expected after such major surgery.
- Over the course of 5 years, the patient’s lung volume increased significantly, especially on the concave side of the chest, where the lung had been compressed.
- The scoliosis curve was reduced by almost half, posture improved, and breathing capacity stabilized.
🔹 Results:
- Total lung volume increased and breathing became freer and deeper.
- The patient’s pulmonary function gradually recovered and stabilized.
- Postoperative complications were minimal and managed successfully.
✨ Today, five years after surgery, this patient enjoys a straighter spine, improved lung health, and a better quality of life.

Bu bemor bizga chet eldan og‘ir skolioz tashxisi bilan murojaat qildi. Umurtqa pog‘onasi 90° dan ortiq qiyshaygan va nafas olishda katta qiyinchiliklar mavjud edi.
🔹 Davolash jarayoni:
- Avval biz halo gravity traction (HGT) usulini qo‘lladik. Bu umurtqa pog‘onasini asta-sekin tortib, operatsiyaga tayyorlashga yordam berdi.
- Keyin bemorga orqa umurtqa fiksatsiyasi operatsiyasi (posterior spinal fusion) o‘tkazildi.
- Operatsiyadan keyingi ilk davrda o‘pka faoliyati (FVC, FEV1) vaqtincha pasaydi, bu kabi katta jarrohlikdan keyin odatiy hol.
- 5 yil davomida bemorning o‘pka hajmi sezilarli darajada oshdi, ayniqsa ko‘krakning konkav (ichkariga bosilgan) tomonida.
- Skolioz darajasi deyarli yarmiga kamaydi, qomat yaxshilandi va nafas olish barqarorlashdi.

- Umumiy o‘pka hajmi ortdi, nafas olish erkin va chuqur bo‘ldi.
- O‘pka faoliyati asta-sekin tiklanib, barqarorlashdi.
