Bony Nose Bridge Rhinoplasty

This Friday I operated on a patient who had bony and humpy structural nasal bridge. She wanted her nose to be narrower and to be able to breathe better than her before the surgery.

At the surgery, I performed osteotomy in order to narrow and strengthen the bony nasal vaults. Using piezo machine I also shaped the nasal bridge and made it smoother. At the end of the surgery, I worked on the tip part of the nose and shaped it with her own cartilages.

Time to reveal the nose! But this time did it. She is 7 days post rhinoplasty.
She saw her nose for the first time after the cast and packing removal.
As it is known, the nose is still very swollen, but we can see the vision already. Her nose will heal and get better everytime.

Crooked and Droopy Nose

Her complaints were how crooked was her nose from the front, the tip was significantly droopy, the hump was long and there was a breathing issue.

All the issues were addressed at the same septorhinoplasty session with ultrasonic piezo machine. Her breathing got better by fixing the septum, the shape of the nose got adjusted according to her facial features.

C shaped crookedness Rhinoplasty

Since the patient had C shaped nose, she had extreme septal deviation which directly affected to her breathing that she was not aware of it. When she woke up from the anesthesia the first thing first she said was “wow I am breathing. This is amazing.” there were enlarged turbinates which were blocking the air flow.
By doing septorhinoplasty surgery, I reduced the size of the turbinates, left 20-30% of them, corrected the septum line and made it straight.

additionally, aesthetic touches were done such as the hump was removed, the tip got defined.

She will be breathing very well from the both sides of her nostrils at the packing/tampon removal day.

Beak Nose Rhinoplasty

𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐤𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 had her Septorhinoplasty surgery yesterday. She had a nose bridge and tip that sticks out too far forward from the face. She had a long septum and cartilages. Also, she had a nose ptosis that made her nostrils to look long. She also had an enlarged tirbunates.

What is beak /beaky nose?
A beaky nose is a large, prominent, or hooked nose that curves downward at the tip to resemble a beak.

How to fix it?

With ultrasonic piezo technique, I shave the bone and perform an osteotomy in the first 30 minutes of the surgery, later on, again with piezo machine I shave the prominent dorsal hump, give a smooth shape to it. The rest of the surgery I work on the aesthetic shape of the nose after fixing the breathing. I shaped the tip and made it more rounder and definer nose tip.

had her Rhinoplasty surgery couple days ago. She had dorsal hump, droopy nose tip, long nostrils. The nose stayed long for her face. She also had a crooked septum.

At the septorhinoplasty surgery, her septum got fixed and got straighter, the droopy tip of the nose got corrected and the nostrils got smaller. The size of the nose got one size smaller and her dorsal hump got removed by ultrasonic piezo technique.
