Episode 5: Why we switched to diaper flats

One of the questions we get all the time is, “Why do you use diaper flats instead of regular inserts?”

The answer is simple, they worked better for our family.

We started with microfiber inserts, and while they worked at first, we eventually found that 100% cotton flats gave us the absorbency we needed.

Every baby is different, so what works for us may not be what works for you. That’s why we always encourage parents to experiment and find the setup that fits their baby’s needs.

Talking about money isn’t really part of our culture. Most of us were taught to keep our finances private.

But I think that’s one conversation we need to start having.

Not to compare. Not to compete. Not to show off.

To learn from each other.

This video isn’t about how much we spend, it’s about the importance of having a plan. Every dollar should have a purpose, and budgeting has been one of the biggest tools that’s helped our family over the last eight years.

My hope is that this encourages more open conversations about budgeting, saving, and managing money in a healthy way.

Learning beyond the classroom.

same method we’ve used for daytime and overnight with our kids.

The best part? There’s no cutting, no sewing, and no fancy equipment. Just fold it and use it.
