Perhaps this is the deeper lesson in resilience; being rooted gives us the freedom to be flexible, to lean, to tremble, to feel the uncertainty. To let the leaves move without believing the whole tree is falling.
You don't have to be unaffected by what happens to you to be resilient. You can be shaken and still be grounded. You can lean and still be strong. You can feel deeply and still remain anchored in who you are.
Resilience isn't the absence of movement. It's having roots deep enough to allow yourself to move without losing yourself. ✨️
If you’re learning how to grow deeper roots, I do one-on-one work with people who want to build that kind of resilience through the process of therapy. 🌱
