The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) celebrated the successful completion of its 2026 Student Internship Programme at a closing ceremony held on Friday, August 21st, at the Learning Resource Centre, Scarborough General Hospital.
Under the theme, โ๐โ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ก ๐บ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐: ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ค๐๐กโ ๐๐ข๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐๐,โ fifty interns were recognised after completing eight weeks of hands-on training, mentorship and professional development.
Deputy Chief Secretary and Secretary with responsibility for Health and Wellness, Dr. Faith Brebnor, encouraged the interns to use their experiences to help shape their futures and Tobagoโs development. TRHA Board Director, Ms. Alana Alleyne, described the programme as a deliberate investment in the islandโs future, while Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Michelle Edwards-Benjamin, urged the interns to embrace the small opportunities available to them each day.
