Periods are normal. The shame, silence, and stigma around them? That’s what’s not normal and it’s time for that to change. 🌍🩸

Boys and men, here’s the truth: millions of girls miss school, face isolation, and are made to feel embarrassed simply for having a period. You have the power to help end that.

Being an ally starts with empathy. Listen. Learn. Speak up when you hear a period joke or see someone being shamed. Normalize the conversation. Support access to products, education, and safe and clean facilities.

A isn’t just for girls and women, it’s for everyone. Let’s build it together.

Empathy + action = real change. Will you stand with us? 💪🏽🩸

Regular checkups and antenatal visits are important!!

Both check on your health and the health of the baby and to make sure that the baby is growing adequately.

And the very important part of that is also to address your concerns. When you come in, we get a chance to meet you, learn about you, get more to know you, and that way you can feel comfortable to share your thoughts, your feelings, your concerns.

You are not on this journey alone, Today's Woman OBGYN is here for you.

Women’s Health Week is a reminder that despite life being busy, messy, and stressful, we must prioritize our health because we only have one body. Instead of striving for perfection, focus on small, practical steps toward well-being. Obstacles will always exist, but do it anyway!!

The 4 pillars are
1. Move ur body, don’t just sit there !
2. Nourish ur body dont just eat !
3. Guard your mind mental health counts !
4. Prevention is better than cure, go for a check up !

Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible mothers, mothers-to-be, and those hoping to become mothers, god mothers, step mothers, aunties and family friends who mother.

Being an OB-GYN is a front-row seat to some of life's most powerful moments; strength, resilience, joy, and sometimes heartbreak. Today, I honor every patient who has trusted me with their care and their stories.

To those celebrating with a baby in their arms, carrying new life, remembering a loss, or still waiting for their moment, your journey matters, and you are seen.

Wishing you compassion, support, and moments of peace today.

"Empowerment in healthcare means walking into every appointment knowing your concerns will be met with respect. It means having a doctor who explains your options clearly, honors your preferences, and reminds you that you are central to decision making."

Human beings are really difficult to make. Any micro changes, micro deletions or extra chromosomes can cause significant changes in the appearance and the neurologic development of a child.

Today is World Down Syndrome Day and we want to celebrate the World Down Syndrome network, both in Trinidad and across the world, because millions of individuals are affected by this condition.

Today we want to show them that they are included and we need to accept diversity because not all of us are the same.

We want to big up all the families that are taking care of people with Down Syndrome, the individuals affected by it and all of the caregivers.

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!!
