Ninety-nine years ago, Dr Rufino Nisperos Macagba graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Today, August 17, 2026, we remember and celebrate his 130th birth anniversary with much love and gratitude for his fortitude and perseverance that led him from his birthplace of Carlatan to the US and back to Carlatan again to start LORMA with co-founder Dr Crispina Lorenzana Macagba in 1934. He will always be an inspiration for all Lormanians

We Are Lormanians ❤️

To Our Beloved Awardees,

Every institution has a story, and ours began in a peaceful seaside village in Brgy. Carlatan, San Fernando, La Union, where a dream took root and grew into what LORMA Colleges is today.

Since then, LORMA Colleges has been woven together thread by thread, year by year, by the hands and hearts of every Lormanian who has walked through our halls. Today, we pause to honor a few of those threads, individuals whose service and dedication have added color, strength, and warmth to the fabric of our institution.

To our awardees, thank you. Thank you for the quiet sacrifices, the countless hours, and the unwavering commitment you have given to LORMA. Like a blanket lovingly stitched over time, your contributions have become part of something far greater than any single thread could be on its own, a masterpiece still being woven, still growing, still keeping generations of Lormanians warm.

This recognition is but a small token of our deepest gratitude. Please know that your dedication does not go unnoticed. It is felt, it is valued, and it is treasured.

From the seaside village where it all began, to the many lives you continue to touch today, thank you for being part of the LORMA story.

With heartfelt appreciation,
LORMA Colleges
