｜美國手外科協會2025年度研究計畫獎｜
很榮幸，梅約診所的研究團隊獲得 AAHS 2025 年度研究計畫獎。
我有幸在過去一年成為這個團隊的一員，當大螢幕放出我們團隊實驗的照片時，腦中不禁馬上浮現出火雞高分貝齊聲的鳴叫、牠們獨特的氣味、以及牠們在麻醉之下的安祥模樣。
研究真正發生的地方，往往不在舞台，而在零下二十度的清晨、在迎著寒風前行的路上、在百餘個不同縫合方式的肌腱滑動當中，在一次又一次按部就班卻不能出錯的 protocol 裡。那些重複而沉默的操作，終究在時間裡留下痕跡。
在這條路上，Dr. Zhao、Rou、Lauri、Maggie與 Ramona 的善意不是附加條件，而是一種日常，而 Dr. Moran 所展現的，是更深一層的領導——他始終把成果歸功於團隊，彷彿提醒我們：真正的成功，從來不是被擁有，而是被分享。
回望這一年，我逐漸明白，幸運並不在於得獎，而在於能夠與這樣一群人同行。

｜2025 AAHS Research Grant｜
Honored to share that our research team at Mayo Clinic received the AAHS 2025 Research Grant.
I was fortunate to be part of this team over the past year.
When images from our experiments appeared on the big screen,
what came to mind was not applause,
but the chorus of turkeys, the familiar scent of the lab,
and their quiet stillness under anesthesia.
Because real research rarely happens on stage.
It happens in sub-zero mornings,
on roads walked against the wind,
and in protocols repeated again and again—without room for error.
Grateful to Rou, Lauri, Maggi, and Ramona
for making kindness part of everyday work,
and to Dr. Moran,
who reminds us through his leadership that
true success is not something to be owned, but to be shared.
Looking back on this year,
I’ve learned that luck is not about winning an award,
but about walking this path with the right people.
