～下肢靜脈曲張 + 膝關節退化～
許多上了年紀的人，尤其是女性，經常會同時有膝關節退化加靜脈曲張。其實這兩個問題是會互相影響的。有醫學文獻顯示，在靜脈曲張治療後，有71.4%的患者覺得他們的膝關節症狀有改善。其中，改善較明顯的是出現在較輕度的退化性膝關節炎患者上，至於嚴重度較高的患者，其症狀改善較少。該篇論文作者也建議，不論病人的退化性膝關節炎是否變嚴重，都強烈建議把他們的靜脈曲張治療好。

實際案例：
1. 73歲女性，左下肢靜脈曲張合併膝關節退化，病人以「微創微波手術」治療左腳的靜脈曲張後，靜脈曲張消失，下肢循環改善，病人回診時說她的膝關節疼痛改善許多。（圖一、二）
2. 66歲女性，右下肢靜脈曲張，病人以「微創微波手術」治療右腳的靜脈曲張後，疼痛腫脹感明顯改善。（圖三、四）
**Varicose Veins and Knee Osteoarthritis**
Many elder people, especially women, suffer from both "varicose veins" and "knee osteoarthritis". These two conditions can actually influence each other.
Medical studies have shown that after treatment for varicose veins, 71.4% of patients reported an improvement in their knee symptoms. The improvement was more noticeable in patients with mild osteoarthritis, whereas those with more advanced knee degeneration experienced less symptom relief.
The authors of the study concluded that treating varicose veins is strongly recommended for patients with knee osteoarthritis, regardless of the severity of their joint degeneration.

**Clinical Cases**
**Case 1**
A 73-year-old woman presented with varicose veins and knee osteoarthritis of left leg. After undergoing **minimally invasive endovenous microwave ablation** for her left leg, her varicose veins disappeared and the circulation in her lower limb improved significantly. At her follow-up visit, she reported that her knee pain had improved considerably. (Figures 1 & 2)
**Case 2**
A 66-year-old woman presented with **right-leg varicose veins**. She underwent **minimally invasive endovenous microwave ablation** for her right leg. After treatment, she experienced **marked improvement in pain and leg swelling**, resulting in a much better quality of life. *(Figures 3 & 4)*
