I sat down to paint today needing to get out of my head, and an hour later, I didn't want to stop. 🎨

No phone, no to-do list, just colors on canvas in front of me. By the end I felt calmer than I have in weeks. Present in a way that's rare these days.
I think a lot of us are craving that. A few hours where nothing is urgent and you're just making something with your hands.

That's what I want to create for you on September 13th at nhow Rotterdam. You won't be painting this piece or working in oil, you'll be painting your own creation. The feeling I'm hoping you leave with is the same one I had today: calm, present, a little proud of what you made.

No experience needed. Just come as you are.

Set inside one of Rotterdam's most striking spaces by the Erasmus Bridge, with all materials and a drink included.

When Hilda af Klimt’s work was showing at Guggenheim in 2018, I did not know about her yet. Thanks to a visitor from the US who shared her story with me. After reading and study her work, it has become clear that I must see the series she has created and hid from the world, the works for the Temple. Although the series is no longer on exhibiting at Guggenheim. It is currently showing at GrandPalais in Paris.

The works felt like maps and instructions, carefully crafted and instructed with just the right amount of information, showing in succession and sequence. It has felt as if my existence has been shifted, by being in the presence and witnessing her process.

There are certain works that reminds me of a warm sunset on Sunday. Perhaps feelings are a mutually shared across individuals and art is that beautiful poet who records.

The most important thing is to keep Moving. Move emotionally or physically. If we keep moving, we are alive. Our body sends us messages that prompts us to take a step, try one more time, be a bit more. Even if we feel that only 1 out of the 10 steps is impactful towards our goal, it still covers more distance than 0 steps.

Happy New Year! This new year is transformative for many, maybe we even doubt that we'll make it here, but voila! And is such a blessing. New year opens up reviews, resets and regeneration. We get this life to experience what our soul desire. We may have had times of repeated cycles that feel like never ending karma. However, by living consciously, and with each review, resets and regeneration, we discover the silver lining. We are able to find the switch for change. When we have our eyes on the switch, and decide to switch on the light, the light turns on and casts clarity onto the path. Each time that we consciously make this transformation, revealing the path, we arrive at growth. We are always on the path(sometimes just dimmer), and always leaving and arriving. Like dual charged particles trying to reach equilibrium, and only when consistently is found, then it takes form. The form is what's shaping your experiences and taking up space in your life. The more abundance you allow, the more it takes up space. And vice versa.

This year has been transformative for me as well. As I explore the desire to create, more inner work is demanded. Looking at the canvas is like looking into a mirror, it reveals all the details I see in myself. And everything reveals itself on canvas. What a vulnerable and liberating experience. And to create is also to connect with the world. And I am excited to share the new website.
