When Is Embryo Vitrification Indicated❓

Embryo vitrification is recommended not only upon receiving an excessive number of “quality” embryos in an IVF protocol, but also in such cases as an increased risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome or diseases like uterine underdevelopment, endometrial polyps, etc.

In addition, many scientists claim that during an IVF protocol, it is preferable to use those embryos that have been vitrified. Numerous studies confirm that when a thawed embryo is transplanted, the risk of premature birth as well as the birth of a dead child is significantly reduced.

Prevention of Female Infertility👩‍⚕️

Since infertility is very often the result of inflammatory and infectious diseases of the reproductive organs, it is necessary to regularly check their condition and visit a gynecologist at least once a year.

Unscheduled examinations are necessary when changing a partner or a method of contraception as well as in case of any disturbing changes and symptoms manifested in the ge***al system. In addition to a gynecologist, women also need to regularly attend an endocrinologist and a breast physician.

It is also important to monitor your diet, avoiding a deficiency of vitamins and minerals, and maintain a healthy weight, without going to the extremes – both excessive thinness and extra 20-30 kilograms can become an obstacle to motherhood.

No matter how trite it may sound, but smoking and drinking alcohol are also detrimental to women’s health, and they significantly reduce the chances for pregnancy. Therefore, bad habits must be abandoned even before pregnancy planning.

How to Choose a Donor❓

If a recipient chose an anonymous donation, the recipient will be able to get almost all the necessary information about a donor: nationality, height, weight, blood group and Rh factor, eye color, nose shape, hair color, shoe size, and even a zodiac sign.

The exception is personal data – according to the current legislation, the clinic cannot provide it to the recipient. It is believed that the donor’s age affects the health of a child, and the younger, the better. Why Can’t I Conceive a Baby?

You will be surprised, but the reasons are many. Some of them may have noticeable symptoms, while others may not.

1️⃣The Right Time
Despite what some people may say, it takes from half a year to a year for a couple to conceive. It is not enough to have regular in*******se; it is essential that it is a well-timed one.

If you are not ovulating, then it is impossible to get pregnant.

How does Intrauterine Insemination work❓

First, the doctor prescribes medications for stimulating ovulation. The process is monitored closely in order to know, if the eggs matured. In case fresh semen is used, it should be collected on the same day. If this is not possible, it will be frozen. A sample of semen from the future father or a donor will be washed in the laboratory conditions, which will help to separate s***m from semen. After that, the s***m will be transferred into the uterus. With this method, there are higher chances of conception due to the larger amount of s***m cells in the uterus. The procedure itself takes just a couple of minutes and is quite simple.

3 Myths About IVF Procedure👇

1️⃣ IVF is a painful procedure
Embryo transfer is a painless procedure that is comparable to a cervical screening test. The only painful stage during IVF is a puncture of the ovaries to collect eggs. But this procedure lasts only 10–15 minutes and is performed under intravenous anesthesia, during which the patient is asleep.

🤰How a surrogate mother is selected?👇

Genetically, a child born to a surrogate mother is not her own. She is not responsible for his genetic diseases and a child does not bear a physical resemblance to her. The risks of developing some defects are higher; the older the biological material is, that is the biological mother’s egg cell.

A surrogate mother can be a woman aged 20 to 35 years old, healthy, without bad habits, which already has given birth to at least one healthy child. Biological parents can select a surrogate mother by physical features (which would be similar to them); however, it is not necessary, but rather conditional, since it will be them, who will transfer their genetic data to their unborn child, and not a surrogate mother, who is just a carrier. The surrogate mother cannot be an egg donor, as then she becomes a biological mother of a child.

That is why psychologists work in fertility clinics, who select among surrogate mothers those who are psychologically prepared to withstand this rather difficult moral procedure – to carry a child for nine months who pushes, lives inside, and then give away him/her to biological parents. 🤰Surrogacy Law in Ukraine🇺🇦

Indications for surrogacy in Ukraine are regulated by Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 787 from 09.09.2013.

The order lists the reasons for the procedure for a childless couple. These include all sorts of pathologies of the female ge***al organs, physiology, health status, as well as more than 4 failed IVF attempts. In any case, whatever the diagnosis, the family’s unsatisfied desire to have a child is a great tragedy. And only a woman who knows the joy of motherhood can understand this. Therefore, compassion is the main motive making Ukrainians participate in programs of surrogate embryo transfer offered by international IVF clinics in Europe.

It will be legal if a surrogate mother becomes a citizen of both Ukraine and another state. In this case, she just needs to present additional documents translated into Ukrainian and notarized. There are disappointing statistics accumulated in the process of research, which is conducted daily in the clinics “Mother and Child”. For example, s***mogram. 👨‍👦🧪

These are quantitative and qualitative indicators of healthy s***m motility, showing its fertilizing ability. Today, normal semen is a rarity. Just 15 years ago, the optimal rate of concentration was 120 million s***m cells per 1 ml of ej*****te, but over the past 15 years, the rates have been revised three times towards decreasing.

At the same time, only a few s***m cells are sufficient for conception using IVF. It has been strongly emphasized that inability to conceive and erectile dysfunctions are completely different things, unrelated phenomena, which practically never overlap.

There are no obvious, identified reasons for the massive decline in male fertility. There are only theories. For example, the theory that s***matogenesis is negatively affected by carbon dust, all sorts of artificial materials, mobile phones, and in general by the fact that our civilization increasingly depends on technology and “gadgets.” There is an opinion that makes feminists rather rub their hands, that the Y chromosome, which determines the male s*x, is gradually degrading, and this affects the quality of s***m in men. There are many theories. But there is no right answer to this question right now. Doctors can only treat the cause.
