Championing Digital Transformation in Healthcare:
Yesterday, our CEO, Dr. Peter Kibuuka, joined fellow healthcare leaders at the SMART Healthcare Providers CEOs’ Forum as a panelist for a timely discussion on how digital transformation can improve healthcare delivery, efficiency and sustainability.
A key focus was consistent adoption of digital systems at every level. Technology only creates value when people use it effectively-enabling streamlined processes and data-backed decisions.
Dr. Kibuuka also emphasised the importance of bringing the ealier generation-highly experienced healthcare professionals and consultants along. Their decades of clinical expertise remain indispensable, but should and must be supported by modern digital tools rather than traditional practices such as handwritten documentation.
He identified four critical measures that every business should continuously track: “Digital transformation should enable every business to continuously monitor at the least four critical areas: People, Processes, Customer Satisfaction and Revenues.” - Dr. Peter Kibuuka.
The forum also examined Artificial Intelligence (AI), recognising its potential to enhance efficiency, data analysis and decision-making while highlighting the need to address privacy, cybersecurity, accuracy, bias and human oversight.
