Today, we had the privilege of donating hospital beds worth UGX 75 million to Kawempe National Referral Hospital through our partnership with DAK International Network.

The donation is part of the Pilot Postpartum Family Planning Programme, which has been running at Kawempe since 2024. So far, the programme has enabled 5,837 women to access family planning services.

Speaking during the handover, Dr.

, our Country Director at Marie Stopes Uganda, noted, “Strengthening reproductive health services means ensuring women receive respectful maternal care.”

By supporting the hospital with additional beds, we hope to contribute to a better care experience for mothers and families while supporting health workers to provide safe and dignified services.
