We're excited to share that Dr. Zubair Lukyamuzi’s latest article has been published in BMC AIDS Research and Therapy!

His study, "The Extent and Determinants of Viral Suppression Among Patients on Protease Inhibitor-Based Anti-Retroviral Therapy Undergoing Intensive Adherence Counseling," provides valuable insights into HIV care in Uganda.

Key takeaway: Although Intensive Adherence Counseling (IAC) is increasingly being used in HIV care centers, viral suppression rates among patients on protease inhibitor-based treatments remain low. This research highlights the importance of offering IAC for a sufficient duration to improve outcomes for these patients.
