Nsambya Hospital recently conducted a Chemosafety Training under the Global Initiative Project, in partnership with the Palliative Care Association of Uganda and the American Cancer Society.

This Continuing Medical Education (CME) session equipped our oncology and nursing teams with essential knowledge and practical skills to ensure safe handling, preparation, and administration of chemotherapy drugs, advancing patient and health worker safety in cancer care.

Celebrating St. Francis Day at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya

Today, we came together as a hospital family to celebrate St. Francis Day with gratitude and joy. The day was marked by a very special moment the blessing of our new CT Scan and Digital X-Ray machines, which are now fully functional and ready to serve our patients.

We began with a solemn Holy Mass, where we offered prayers of thanksgiving for the gift of life, healing, and service.

Our different departments made heartfelt offertory contributions, reflecting our unity and shared mission of compassionate healthcare.

This milestone is not just about advanced technology, it is a commitment to excellence in patient care and a step forward in our mission to heal with faith, love, and professionalism. As we honor the spirit of St. Francis, we continue to serve our community with dedication and Compassion.

Earlier today, Dr. Andrew Ssekitooleko, CEO of Nsambya Hospital, joined stakeholders at the “Many Cancers, One Race” Corporate Breakfast hosted at Mestil Hotel.

In his remarks, he highlighted the urgent reality of the cancer scourge and underscored the importance of collective action. The event, organized under the Rotary Cancer Run Team, was an opportunity to share accountability on the funds raised and progress made towards building the much-needed Cancer Bunker at Nsambya Hospital.

Together, we can advance the fight against cancer and bring lifesaving care closer to those who need it most. 💙

Earlier today, we offered Free Eye Screening at Nsambya Hospital in partnership with Lions Clubs International President, Mr. Singh, on his special visit to Our community.

Free Comprehensive Eye Check-ups
Free Glasses Distribution

During his visit, President Singh also visited the Comprehensive Eye Centre at Nsambya Hospital, a facility generously supported by Lions International to strengthen access to quality eye care for all.
