Last week, Wanda Matugga Hospital opened its doors to the elderly in our community for a free medical camp 🩺

For persons aged 60 and above, we offered health check-ups, BP and diabetes screening, 50% off scans and X-rays, essential medicines, free eye checkups, subsidised glasses, and health advice from our clinical team.

Families came throughout the day, many bringing elderly relatives who hadn't had a check-up in years. Some came for one service. Others stayed to make use of everything on offer.

This is what Wanda Matugga Hospital has stood for since our founding by the Conventual Franciscan Friars: quality healthcare that reaches every family, not just those who can afford private specialists.

Matugga Hospital was founded by the Conventual Franciscan Friars on one belief: quality healthcare should reach every family, not just those who can afford private specialists.
That belief still drives us. In every consultation. In every immunization. In every emergency response.
It is why we run medical camps. It is why we have a Sicklers Clinic. It is why we are open at 3am when no one else is.

Not every sick child needs antibiotics. Viral infections which cause most colds and coughs do not respond to antibiotics at all.
Giving antibiotics unnecessarily can harm your child's gut health and contribute to resistance.
Always follow a clinician's advice. Wanda's paediatric team will prescribe only what your child actually needs.
