The team at Mason Dermatology joins our community in mourning the tragic loss of Officer DJ Keller.

A hero’s return 💙 We were humbled to pay our respects today as the procession for Officer DJ Keller passed by our office. Our thoughts and prayers remain with his loved ones and his brothers and sisters in blue. Witnessing the community come together to honor him today was a powerful reminder of the impact he had on all of us. Thank you, Officer Keller, for your service and for your commitment to keeping us all safe. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and the Greenwood City Police Department. Rest easy, Officer Keller. You will not be forgotten. 🕊️

Jokes aside, protecting your skin this summer is no laughing matter. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to sunburn, premature aging, and even increase your risk of skin cancer. Applying sunscreen daily (yes, even on cloudy days!) is one of the easiest ways to keep your skin healthy and protected.

💡 Pro-Tip: Winter Skin Survival
Since we've been spending so much time in the snow, here are a few quick tips to keep your skin happy:
* Lukewarm is Better: Hot showers strip natural oils. Stick to lukewarm water and keep it under 10 minutes.
* Damp Skin = Best Skin: Apply your moisturizer within 60 seconds of hopping out of the shower to lock in hydration.
* Don't Forget SPF: Snow reflects up to 80% of UV rays! Even on cloudy snow days, sunscreen is a must.
* Swap for Creams: Switch from light lotions to thicker creams or ointments (look for ceramides or hyaluronic acid) to create a stronger barrier against the cold.
