Avir at Windcrest Avir at Windcrest is a short/long term care rehab facility. We have an Alzheimer's secured unit as well as a separate rehab to home wing.

We are here to serve you. Windcrest Health & Rehabilitation is a 120-bed premier skilled nursing, rehabilitation care center and certified Alzheimer facility providing comprehensive inpatient care. Located at 6050 Hospital Drive in Abilene Texas, Windcrest's professional and compassionate staff provides around-the-clock nursing care in a comfortable and caring environment. We offer exceptional short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term care. Windcrest Health & Rehabilitation provides the full range of physical, occupational and speech therapies.

A Sweet Celebration for National Dessert Day! 🍓🍰

Avir at Windcrest enjoyed a delicious afternoon treat thanks to our friend Rhonda with Gentiva, who served up strawberry shortcake for everyone to enjoy.

The dessert was a hit, but the smiles and time spent together made the celebration even sweeter.

Yesterday’s activity at Avir at Windcrest was definitely one of the most delicious ones yet!

Our residents enjoyed making and, of course, tasting their own yummy frappes. 😋 It was the perfect little treat to enjoy together, with lots of smiles, laughter, and good conversation along the way!

Sometimes the best activities are the ones we get to sip, savor, and enjoy together! 🥤🍫✨

🍝 Turning Noodles Into Fall Masterpieces! 🍂

National Noodle Day brought out plenty of creativity at Avir at Windcrest as our residents transformed simple lasagna noodles into festive fall inspired crafts. Each creation had its own personality, making the activity just as fun to admire as it was to make.

We love activities that encourage imagination, conversation, and a little seasonal fun while giving everyone a chance to create something uniquely their own.
