As we celebrate 25-years, we take a moment to recognize the vision behind it all. Before the growth, before multiple clinics, Jonas W. Seeberg, CPO/LPO saw a need in Harford County for orthotic and prosthetic care that simply was not there. Real Life Prosthetics became the first to step in and fill that gap. Alongside him were William F. Coleman, CPA, CTO and Sandra J. Yeater, CFO, Manager, each bringing their own strengths, and together building something rooted in purpose and guided by a shared mission.

That shared mission has always been clear: To help persons with disabilities lead more active, indepedent lives through the utilization of cutting-edge technology and expertise in clinical care.

From the very beginning, there was also a patient pledge. A promise grounded in honesty, dignity, and compassion. A commitment to honor the trust placed in us, to provide care that enhances quality of life and well-being, and to serve with professionlistm, timeliness, and reliability. That commitment has not wavered in 25-years!

What started as one clinic has grown into five across two states. And in the same spirit of meeting needs, the vision has continued alonside Align Rehabilitation, helping create a more complete, integrated path for amputee care.

This 25-year milestone reflects leadership that chose to see a need and answer it, and to stay true to that calling every step of the way. With grateful hearts, we thank you Jonas, Bill, and Sandy for building something that continues to serve, support, and change lives every single day!

Four years ago, I took a leap of faith and stepped into private practice to build something I believed was lacking in the PT profession - a specialized physical therapy practice dedicated to prosthetic rehabilitation and amputee care. I’m incredibly grateful to celebrate 4 years of Align Rehabilitation.

To my patients: thank you for trusting me with your care, for showing up, working hard, maybe doing your home exercises, and allowing me to be part of your journey. I am especially grateful to those who have allowed me to share pieces of your rehab process on social media and in my teaching endeavors so others can learn, feel less alone, and see what’s possible.

A huge thank you to Real Life Prosthetics. Not just for being next door neighbors, but for helping bring to life a model where physical therapists and prosthetists truly work side by side for the benefit of our patients.

To the many prosthetists in the community who have trusted me with your patients and welcomed me into your clinics - thank you. Collaboration like this is what pushes our field forward.

To Vicky: thank you for being the most incredible office manager over the past two years. Align wouldn’t run the way it does without you.

I also feel incredibly lucky to educate and mentor other therapists in amputee rehabilitation, and to welcome students into this space to learn, grow, and carry this work forward.

And to Red!!! Thanks for being the best amputee PT mascot and for encouraging all our patients to do floor transfers to pet you!

Red wanted to try on some prosthetic feet this morning…. We didn’t have his size in stock!

Which one do you think looks best?

1️⃣ Balance S
2️⃣ Echelon
3️⃣ Rogue 2
4️⃣ Celsus
5️⃣ Proflex XC Torsion

Thank you for the ultimate puppy entertainment hack! When patients are not using the overhead track system this little amputee puppy sure will be!

The PT in me could not resist! This is Red’s first attempt at going up and down standard height steps! He doesn’t know he can jump yet!

Movement is a human right.

A huge thank you to and all those involved in planning today’s Mobility Day! So fun to connect with a community who cares so deeply about improving access to medically necessary prosthetic technology and seeing so many individuals try sports specific equipment for the first time!

Small perk was the event being hosted at the best campus ever … Go Terps!

New treadmill is in! It allows for the belt to be put in reverse for backwards walking which can also be used for training walking steep down grades! Belt speed starts at 0.1 mph which is reaaaaalllly slow and reaaaally great for those with poor balance where the start speed can really jolt you forward. Thank you !!

🎾 Tennis ball rolling… we love it for working on single leg balance and control of the residual limb inside the socket, but it can get very annoying when the tennis ball wants to run away from you! Try replacing the ball with a foam roll or similarly shaped cylinder (i.e soup can) to permit better control in the forward-backward direction!
