Dr. Kristin Noonan, general surgeon at Jefferson Abington Hospital, recently volunteered on a medical mission to Honduras, where she helped provide essential surgical care to patients with limited access to healthcare.

Working alongside a team of volunteer medical professionals, Dr. Noonan performed 21 surgeries, assisted on three additional procedures and visited local orphanages to deliver donations and spend time with children and caregivers.

For 19 summers, Camp Charlie has given grieving children a place to feel supported, understood and less alone.

Offered through Safe Harbor at Jefferson Abington Hospital, Camp Charlie is a summer day camp for children ages 6 through 12 who have experienced the loss of a caregiver or sibling. Through art, music, play and peer connection, campers are given space to express themselves, honor their loved one and build meaningful connections with others who understand.

Thanks to the generosity of Glanzmann Subaru and Blood Cancer United, 80 heart-shaped fleece blanket bundles were donated to patients at Jefferson Abington Hospital's Asplundh Cancer Pavilion. Thoughtfully folded into heart-shaped fleece wraps, these blankets are a small gesture of comfort for patients during their cancer journey.
