During National Nurses Month, we handed the mic to nurses across Jefferson’s Bucks, Torresdale, Frankford, Abington, Einstein Montgomery and Lansdale hospitals and asked them to share with us the reason they became a Jefferson nurse.

From caring for the tiniest patients in the NICU to supporting families through every stage of care, their answers reflected the compassion, connection and sense of purpose that nursing brings each day. Thank you to all of our nurses and nursing partners for the care, support and heart you bring to our patients, families and communities.

Falls can happen faster than people think, but building strength and balance can make a difference.

Jefferson Health physical therapist Nicole Tassi, recently led A Matter of Balance at Paul’s Run Continuing Care Retirement Community, an eight-session program designed to help older adults improve flexibility, strengthen balance and feel more confident staying active and independent.

Supported through the American Trauma Association, the free program gives participants simple exercises and practical tools they can continue using long after the sessions end.

Some scans show what’s there. Spectral CT, also known as SPECT/CT, at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital adds another layer by showing how it’s functioning, too.

This advanced imaging technology combines 3D CT imaging with nuclear medicine to give care teams a more detailed look at what’s happening inside the body. It can support earlier, more precise evaluation for conditions involving the brain, head and neck, bones and certain cancers.
Now available at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, SPECT/CT helps our teams in neurosurgery, ENT and oncology gather the details they need to guide next steps with greater clarity, all closer to where patients receive care. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4dGNPmP

It's National Therapy Animal Day and this month was full of wagging tails and well-timed visits across Jefferson's Torresdale, Bucks, Frankford and Einstein Montgomery hospitals.

Through our Pet Therapy for Nurse Well-Being Program, certified therapy dogs and their handlers gave nurses and staff a chance to pause, reset and recharge during busy shifts.
