Time to reintroduce myself!

I’m Erin Pike, founder of Hill Street Therapy and Wellness, a space built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel supported, connected, and cared for through every season of life.

As a therapist, I love helping people navigate hard moments, better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and celebrate growth along the way. Watching people feel more confident, connected, and understood is one of the best parts of this work.

A few things about me outside the therapy office: I’m a proud cat mom (and lover of all animals — especially elephants 🐘), travel lover, Noah Kahan fan, reality TV enthusiast (no shame 😬), Gem’s sister, and a huge supporter of Deag’s— a local spot serving fresh, local food. I’m a big believer that nourishing our bodies is just as important as nourishing our minds. 💛

I’m so grateful you’re here and part of this community. Stay tuned to meet the rest of our fabulous team!

Our Mindful Artist Group wrapped up after 8 wonderful weeks with an amazing group of kiddos. 💚

Each week, we started with an icebreaker, talked about mindfulness, and then explored those concepts through different art activities. Over time, the kids got to know one another, build connections, and practice mindfulness in a safe and supportive environment.

One of the biggest takeaways for us was seeing how every child took the same project and made it completely their own. It was so special to watch their creativity, confidence, and growth shine through over the 8 weeks.

We are so grateful to the families who trusted us with their kiddos, and we already can’t wait for the next group!

If you’d like to be added to the waitlist for our next Mindful Artist Group, please feel free to reach out. 🎨

There’s a common misconception that you have to open up about everything right away, but therapy is allowed to move at your pace.

A therapist may gently shine a light on something, offer a different perspective, or invite curiosity around a situation, but you never have to talk about anything before you’re ready. A strong therapeutic relationship respects your comfort level while also creating space for growth when the time feels right.

Honesty in therapy is important, but honesty often grows from feeling safe enough to be real with someone. The trust and connection between therapist and client can become the most important piece of the healing process.

As Hill Street Therapy & Wellness continues to grow, we keep coming back to the importance of relationships and community. 💛

As clinical social workers, we are trained to look at systems and how they impact one another. We know that strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and people showing up for one another.

That’s why we’re excited to start a new local business initiative highlighting businesses in our community that are doing good work and making a positive impact.

This idea was inspired by a good friend and colleague of ours, Next Generation Artisans founder Lucas Keuther, who reminded us how important it is to support and uplift the people around us.

Stay tuned for our upcoming business highlight featuring Next Gen, and feel free
to tag a local business below that you think we should highlight next!

Mental Health Awareness Month invites us to slow down and check in with ourselves and the people around us.

Some days growth looks like big changes. Other days it looks like getting through the day, reaching out to someone you trust, taking a break, or giving yourself grace when things feel heavy.

You do not have to earn rest. You do not have to struggle in silence. And you are never alone in what you’re feeling.

May this month encourage more honest conversations, more support, and more kindness toward ourselves and each other. 💚

Love seeing things like this in our community!

Thank you to Asher’s Sandbox for putting together such a thoughtful event for local families. The Children’s Clothing & Toy Swap is happening today from 2–5 PM and is open to everyone.

There’s something really special about community members coming together to support one another in meaningful ways like this. We’re lucky to have spaces like this on the South Shore!

If you’re around this afternoon, definitely go check it out!

Fact Check Thursday: Therapy isn’t just about techniques or coping tools.

The relationship matters more than people realize. You can have all the “right” strategies, but if you don’t feel safe, understood, or comfortable with your therapist, it’s hard to do the deeper healing work. Real progress often happens in the relationship itself.

Learning to be honest, set boundaries, trust, and show up as your authentic self. That connection is the biggest indicator of the success of therapy, and the research backs that.

To the moms, grandmothers, caregivers, mother figures, and those carrying the role in ways both seen and unseen, today we celebrate you. 💛

Motherhood can hold so many emotions at once: joy, love, exhaustion, grief, growth, worry, pride, healing, and everything in between. However this day feels for you, we hope you make space for care, connection, and gentleness with yourself.

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for others while navigating your own journey too.

From all of us at Hill Street Therapy & Wellness, Happy Mother’s Day!

Before Mother’s Day, we pause to honor that this day can hold both love and grief.

Each bouquet represents a different heart and story 💐

One for mothers grieving a child.

One for those grieving their own mother.

One for those longing to become mothers.

One for complicated or estranged mother-child relationships.

One for those who never knew their mother.

One for mothers carrying invisible pain while still showing up with love.

Flowers often mark celebration, but they also reflect life’s truth that some seasons bloom brightly, and others carry quiet waiting, loss, and tenderness.

Both can exist at the same time.

Whatever this weekend holds, may you feel seen, held, and not alone. 💟
