Oklahoma Inter-tribal Diabetes Coalition Celebrates 15th Annual Benefit Golf Scramble 2026
Shawnee, Oklahoma (April 24, 2026) – Friday, April 24 marked the Oklahoma Inter-tribal Diabetes Coalition (OIDC) 15th Annual Golf Scramble, held at FireLake Golf Course. This event was supported by our three Gold sponsors: Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Health Systems, and Delaware Nation. One Silver Hole in One sponsor by BaoLong Nguyen. One Silver level sponsor Thunderbird Casino. Two Bronze level sponsor Native Youth Preventing Diabetes and Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. After a 9:00 am shotgun start, 104 players and OIDC volunteer members came together, to raise funds in support of OIDC’s efforts to increase capital to battle the burgeoning diabetes epidemic.
Funding from this event will be used to further OIDC’s mission of building sustainable networks for improved patient care and provider education. Oklahoma Inter-Tribal Diabetes Coalition Golf Benefit Committee Members and volunteers. Thank you for their work organizing this year’s event and for being out on the course providing diabetes education.
The 16th Annual Golf Scramble will be held on Friday April 23, 2027, at the FireLake Golf Course. There are several opportunities available to support this event, including playing in the tournament, sponsoring a team, providing raffle items, or giving a charitable contribution.
