Now for the heart of the team Kili, our Director of Nursing ❤️
The one who keeps it all going with compassion, strength, and endless dedication. Thank you for leading with such a caring heart and for everything you do each and every day for our residents, families, and staff. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Gold Crest family! 🩺✨
Kili has been a dedicated part of the Gold Crest team for the past eight years and has served as our Director of Nursing for nearly four years. Her leadership, vision, and commitment to both residents and staff have played a key role in shaping the care and culture at Gold Crest.
Kili earned her nursing degree in 2008 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She began her career at Madonna Rehabilitation, where she built a strong clinical foundation. She later worked as a traveling wound care nurse, gaining valuable experience before finding her home in long-term care at Gold Crest. Kili is board certified as a Clinical Wound Specialist, a Certified Rehabilitation Nurse, and Director of Nursing Services Certified. She is currently working towards being certified as a Gerontological Nurse.
Fun fact on how Kili ended up at Gold Crest: Kili had stopped in Gold Crest while doing wound rounds, and was asked by the DON at that time, Michelle Denker, if she was looking for a job. Just the night before, Kili was told by her husband that she needed to look for a job that didn’t require so much traveling and was closer to home (Wilber) due to the fact they once again had a small child at home. Sometime timing works out just right!
Over the years, Kili has developed a true passion for long-term care. She values the relationships built with residents and their families and finds joy in the connections and daily interactions that make this work so meaningful. The smiles, stories, and moments shared with residents are what continue to inspire her every day.
Outside of work, Kili is a proud mom of five children and a grandmother to six, with one more on the way. Life is busy and full as she spends much of her time cheering on her 10-year-old at dance, attending grandkids’ activities, and enjoying time with her family. She also enjoys being part of a book club and writing for her blog.
As a leader, Kili is committed to supporting her team, improving care processes, and creating a positive environment where both staff and residents can thrive.
We are grateful for Kili’s leadership, dedication, and the heart she brings to Gold Crest each and every day!
