Paige Marie, LMT

Paige Marie, LMT My name is Paige, I am a licensed massage therapist and certified craniosacral therapist. I appreciate every referral, and reward customer loyalty!

I graduated from The Massage School in 2017, licensed early 2018 and have been practicing ever since working at area reputable spas. During that time, I began to focus on how the nervous systems response influences the body's ability to release tension. I have developed a technique that is a blend of Craniosacral Therapy and Swedish/Deep tissue massage with a dash of a few other modalities. I look

forward to offering my gift to my community.

"What is your technique called?"

Wellllllll.... a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Basically, I use a blend of myofascial pin and stretch, craniosacral and intuitive touch to sink deeper as your breathing regulates your nervous system. I work along the meridians of the body to release tension that carries emotions, trauma, and stagnation. I prioritize your spine and skull, and releasing tension in these areas allow fresh cerebrospinal fluid to flow. It's sincerely so cool.

The reason this works, in my opinion and experience, better than typical deep tissue "make it hurt" massage is because our nervous system does not regulate under any sort of duress or force. Although you may think you enjoy the sensation of pain, i assure you your nervous system does not. I prefer to work with your tension and trauma, to come to an understanding and respect for where you currently stand.

I follow your breathe and encourage calm and normal breathing, if I find built up tension, or a "knot", you have the choice, control and power to advocate for yourself on my table. Take a deep breathe or bear down and hold your breathe. I will follow your lead. There will be no surprises and nothing to startle or surprise you, allowing you to feel deeply safe in your own body while your systems remove stagnation and waste. This is why hydrating well is so important!

So, my technique IS different, strange, unique, etc compared to a typical deep tissue massage. But, to your body, I'm told it feels like coming home. Home to safety, nurturing, and self love.

Sessions available this week:
Monday PM
Wed PM
Saturday AM

Take care! 💓

Beginning 5/18, my availability out of my home office will be by appointment only and I will be prioritizing 90 minute sessions to focus on the intention of my work. I do practice out of a local establishment as well, so if you'd prefer a shorter session, or if parking is a stressor for you then please reach out for more information on how you can schedule with me there!

My ideal clients have been struggling with stress, poor sleep and digestion, as well as chronic pain and stiffness in their body but have found typical deep pressure massage leaves them feeling uncomfortable (or worse off) for days later, and they're looking for something different. I am looking for clients who want to release deeper tension without causing or exacerbating the existing pain levels. When you're on my table asking for deep tension to be released, I will follow what your body tells me with each layer of consent I am granted, which I find allows for much deeper tension released. I am not the kool-aid man and will not force my way into your muscles. Because of this, if you are a client who prefers to be "beaten up" or asks that the therapist takes out their aggression on you, you will likely not be compatible with my technique. Clients who have spines with scoliotic curves have found relief with my technique as I dont attempt to "fix" the curve, but rather release tension and allow your body to settle naturally. As someone who's own spine has scoliosis, I have been on the receiving end of these sessions myself and how uncomfortable they could be.

My technique works exceptionally well with your breathe, only requiring a steady and calm inhalation 🔃 exhalation cycle. Breathing like this provides consistent, fresh oxygen to your muscles which helps break up any build up that we register as muscle soreness and knots. Breathing also aids in calming your nervous system during the process, so its a win, win! Normal, everyday breathing is all I ask you to focus on. If you're receiving a massage that is so intense that you find yourself holding your breathe, that should be a cue to try something different. When I come across tension that will release "an intense sensation", never pain, I ask my client to take a deep breathe to allow the tension to release. Many people find they're able to fall asleep while on my table even while releasing deep tension because your nervous system has settled into "rest and digest".

All in all, my goal by the end of the session is to remove as much built up tension in your body as painlessly as possible, leaving you as symmetrical as I can while encouraging new Cerebrospinal fluid to flow. I like to say its like taking a nap and letting me clean your room for you while you sleep, so you wake up feeling refreshed and less stressed! Connecting your mind and your body to the present moment.

If your needs for massage seem to align with my technique or if you know of anyone who has expressed the need, feel free to send them my way. For this experience, I recommend scheduling a 90 minute massage so there is enough time to settle and release.

This is a super fascinating discovery about how movement influences the flow of Cerebrospinal fluid throughout our spine! Now, if only they'd study how massage effects the fluid flow, because I have hunch that some modalities can really get the fluid pumping! If you haven't moved your body in a while, get to stepping! Or, go get a massage!

We already know that moving your body is important for brain health, but a new study reveals a possible reason why: It could be triggering a kind of hydraulic pump that flushes out fluid in the brain.

My kiddo made these for me at 6 years old while they were in 1st grade. They're turning 14 tomorrow, and their artistic creativity continues to evolve and grow. This original piece is displayed proudly on my office wall! One of many perks that come with having my own office is being able to surround myself with gifts that spark joy. It has lost a doughnut bead or 2 over the years, but its priceless.

All this to say, I will be unavailable for appointments tomorrow as we celebrate this wonderful human bean 🥰
How time flies when you're having fun!

"Relaxing Deep Tissue" Massage?!
No, its not an oxymoron :)

Schedule your mind and body rejuvenation for spring break week and feel better prepared for the week ahead. What is "Relaxing Deep Tissue"? By following cues from your nervous system, I work with your body using myofascial release, pin + stretch and craniosacral therapy to release deep muscle tension without causing pain or further aggravating the area. I compare my work to laying your mind down for a nap while I clean your room - metaphorically, of course! You lead the session subconsciously. If you have chronic deep muscle tension you need released, but have had negative experiences with deep tissue in the past, send me a message! I'd be happy to try to help you out!

Take care!

This is a fascinating discovery! As we learn more about our fascia, we uncover the deeper role it plays in maintaining overall wellness. This continues beyond our previous understanding that "everything is connected" meant that a solid line of fascia spanning from our big toe to our tongue could explain why our body holds tension in specific patterns.

Fascia may be the body’s most important communication system.

Unlike the nervous system, which we usually think of as controlling signals, fascia forms a continuous web of quantum electromagnetic energy around every cell in our body. This structure connects tissues, muscles, and organs, allowing information to flow instantly throughout the body.

Researchers suggest that fascia is not just supportive tissue; it actively communicates with cells. It can detect changes, send signals, and coordinate responses across the entire body. This explains why fascia can influence movement, posture, and overall health in ways that go beyond traditional neural pathways.

The nervous system is still vital, but fascia acts as a primary network that guides coordination and communication. Its electromagnetic signals can carry energy and information faster than neurons, creating a holistic system that integrates body functions at a cellular level. This web-like network helps maintain balance, alignment, and responsiveness in real time.

Understanding fascia as a communication system changes how we think about health and healing. Practices like massage, stretching, and bodywork may improve the flow of information through fascia, enhancing flexibility, reducing pain, and supporting overall wellness. By supporting this primary network, the nervous system can work more efficiently and the body becomes more resilient.

The fascia’s quantum electromagnetic web shows how interconnected our bodies truly are. Every cell is part of a larger communication network that keeps us functioning, responding, and alive. Recognizing fascia as the main communicator highlights the importance of caring for the whole body, not just nerves or muscles.
