Residents of Buckingham's Choice took in a bit of Revolutionary War history at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. 🇺🇸

Docents led the group through the Revolutionary Valley exhibit and discussed the history of the Shenandoah Valley during the war. The property also hosts a spectacular garden, which some residents toured as well. The afternoon was topped off with a delicious lunch at Water Street Kitchen in historic downtown Wi******er, VA.

Buckingham's Choice hosted its second annual community-wide summer event. The theme this year was "Take Me Out to the 250th Celebration"! ⚾🇺🇸 The afternoon was full of fun games, hot dogs and hamburgers, apple pie, and Kona Ice, plus a special guest appearance from the Frederick Keys Baseball Team mascot, Keyote! Spirits were high, the laughter abundant, and the celebration unforgettable.

As part of Buckingham's Choice's 250th Celebration, the Resident Association Education Committee organized a Betsy Ross Flag Raising Ceremony! 🇺🇸🎉

Residents Bill and Cynthia Deutermann dressed in authentic Revolutionary War clothing, Bill as a Rifleman and Cynthia as a Camp Follower, for the occasion. Betty Ann Cox, Resident, recited her original poem "Lest We Forget," and Bill played "To the Color" on his fife as the flag was raised with the assistance of John Limpert, Security and Transportation Supervisor. It was a deeply moving event for residents and team members alike. ❤️
