Please join us in congratulating McKenzie “Ui” Robledo on her promotion to Director of Patient Services at Pali Momi Medical Center! 🎉

Ui has dedicated more than a decade to serving our patients and teams with exceptional leadership and compassion. Since joining the Pali Momi ‘ohana in 2012 as a staff nurse, she has grown into roles of increasing responsibility, including charge nurse, evening floor supervisor, and most recently, manager of the fourth floor.

Ui grew up in ʻEwa Beach and is a Kamehameha Schools graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports medicine from Oregon State University and her nursing degree from the University of Portland. After working for eight years as a nurse in Oregon, she returned home to Hawai‘i to continue her career in healthcare.

Effective July 5, Ui will oversee all inpatient areas, including the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors, as well as the Resource Pool, IV Therapy, and Wound Care.

Known for her warmth, encouragement, and integrity, Ui leads with a deep understanding of patient care and a genuine commitment to those around her. We’re incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to the impact she will continue to make at Pali Momi and across Hawaiʻi Pacific Health. 💙💜

💜🌺 Every year, we celebrate the nurses whose impact extends well beyond their own patients – the ones who make everyone around them better.

This year's Nurse of the Year awardees were nominated by colleagues who shared inspiring stories of integrity, compassion, and leadership.

Today, we're proud to introduce our first honoree: Joshua Pananganan, RN, recipient of the Pali Momi Medical Center Nurse of the Year award for Exemplary Nurse Mentor. This award recognizes a nurse who lifts the whole unit – someone who shares knowledge generously, builds critical thinkers, and shows up as a steady resource through every shift and every challenge.

Here's what colleagues had to say about Josh:

"As a mentor, Josh takes the time to break down critical care concepts into clear, understandable terms. He explains the reasoning behind interventions, helping newer nurses strengthen their critical thinking skills. Josh promotes teamwork across the unit and readily offers assistance to anyone who needs support. Throughout every shift, he remains patient, approachable, and willing to answer questions at any time. Even in challenging situations, Josh maintains a calm and steady presence."

We're proud to honor you, Josh, for the patience, generosity, and leadership you bring to Pali Momi every day. 💜
