George White, a PruittHealth hospice patient, talks about trucks every chance he gets.

As part of our annual Committed to Caring Challenge, staff fulfilled one of George’s final wishes by getting him back into a big rig one last time. The truck driver community came together afterwards for a heartfelt moment to honor George’s service as a driver.

It’s always special to see moments like these – where our community and staff come together as one family to honor our patients.

Several truckers and trucks arrived for a 10:30 a.m. celebration at the facility for George White. He got into a truck and honked the horn.

Good music and even better company at PruittHealth – North Tampa!

Patients had a blast “singin’ along to the 60s” for a music bingo activity with a live DJ. They enjoyed competing for Halloween-themed prizes and snacks while dancing along to the tunes.

Kudos to our floor technician, Aidan Church, at PruittHealth – Fleming Island!

Aidan recently received a shoutout for his hardworking nature by the Resident Council at PruittHealth – Fleming Island. He was described as “always willing to help” and when presented with a new issue he “always finds out how to fix it”.

Activities are about more than keeping a calendar full. They’re about getting to know our patients on a personal level, understanding what they enjoy, and creating opportunities for them to continue doing the things that bring them happiness and purpose.
