🎓 Congratulations to our Graduate Medical Education Class of 2026!

For the second year in a row, we celebrated a historic achievement — the graduation of our very first class of Internal Medicine Residents!

This past weekend, we celebrated 15 exceptional physicians — six Family Medicine residents and nine Internal Medicine residents — as they officially completed their residency training and begin the next chapter of their medical careers.

Over the past three years, they have cared for our patients, strengthened our community and grown into skilled, compassionate physicians. While we will miss them, we are excited to see the impact they will make in communities near and far — including right here at Aiken Regional.

Join us in congratulating the Class of 2026 and wishing them continued success in the years ahead. 💙✨

What inspires someone to volunteer year after year?

For some, it’s giving back. For others, it’s staying connected, helping others heal or simply bringing light to someone’s hardest day.

Those individual stories have shaped the Hospital Auxiliary of Aiken County for generations.

As the Auxiliary continues to celebrate 50 years since incorporation by the State of South Carolina and more than a century of service alongside Aiken Regional, we’re proud to share a few of the voices behind that legacy of compassion, service and heart.

While their reasons for serving may have evolved over time, their impact is felt throughout our hospital and community every day. Their stories remind us that some of the most meaningful moments in healthcare begin with a simple act of kindness. 💙

Congratulations to Hope Gore, RN, of our Emergency Department, our Q4 2025 DAISY Award Recipient! 🌼

Hope was nominated by the family of a patient who was facing difficult and complex circumstances during his visit to the Emergency Department.

The family described Hope as a “phenomenal nurse” who provided exceptional care during a challenging time. They shared that she went above and beyond to keep them informed, communicate clearly and provide reassurance throughout their experience.

What stood out most was not only the care Hope provided, but the way she provided it. Her nominator wrote that she exceeded expectations through her professionalism, compassion and unwavering dedication, bringing comfort, confidence and peace of mind to both the patient and their family.

In moments when patients and families need it most, nurses like Hope make an extraordinary difference.

When recognized with the DAISY Award, Hope was quick to credit those around her, sharing that she could not do what she does without the support of her amazing team. And while this award recognizes Hope, it also reflects the teamwork, dedication and support that help make exceptional patient care possible every day.

Thank you, Hope, and the entire Emergency Department, for the compassion, professionalism, exceptional care you provide and the remarkable impact you have on our patients and their loved ones every day. 💛
