Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13th, the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss 2027 county appropriations, including funding for CARE. We are very pleased and encouraged that the County Budget Committee has approved a recommendation of $55,000 for CARE in 2027! Now, the full Aitkin County Board of Commissioners must vote to approve this appropriation. This would be GREAT news for CARE! Maintaining this funding would provide important financial stability for our organization and help us leverage additional state, federal, and foundation funding to continue delivering quality services to Aitkin County residents. We want to share just a few of the letters and messages of support we have received from individuals, community partners, and organizations who recognize the important role CARE plays in helping older adults and individuals managing disabilities remain safe, independent, and supported in their own homes. These voices reflect the value of CARE's services, the strength of our community partnerships, and the positive impact our organization makes throughout Aitkin County.
