Please join us in congratulating our Shining Star Employee, Mariah Woods, LPN! ⭐

Mariah came on to us full time back in July from previous agency work and has since become a very valuable part of our staff. Mariah never hesitates to go above and beyond for her residents. She is always willing to work hand in hand with our STNA/CNA's and has even been willing to work in other departments, such as our dietary department, when the need arises.

We are so grateful to have such a dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking team member who goes above and beyond each day to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

Your kindness, positive attitude, and commitment to providing exceptional care does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do and for being such a valuable part of our team!

This October, we proudly recognize and celebrate our amazing case managers and the important role they play in supporting our residents, families, and care teams! 🏥💐

Case managers are dedicated advocates who help coordinate care, navigate challenges, connect individuals with resources, and ensure each person receives the support they need. Their compassion, communication, and commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve every day.

✨ Thank you to all case managers for your hard work, dedication, and the positive impact you make in our community. Your efforts truly make a difference!

Today we celebrated with Summa Health in Akron. The staff enjoyed a refreshing treat of meats and chesses, crackers, fruits and veggies! Also they got to take a sweet treat of M&M's to celebrate national M&M day!

A cancer diagnosis can bring uncertainty, stress, and many difficult emotions. For someone going through breast cancer, knowing they have support can make a meaningful difference.

Sometimes the most helpful things are simple:
• Listen without feeling the need to have all the answers
• Offer specific help, such as meals, transportation, or errands
• Check in regularly, even if it’s just a quick message
• Respect their needs and give them space when they ask for it
• Continue to treat them as the person they’ve always been, not just as a diagnosis

A little compassion, patience, and presence can go a long way. 💕

Consider these important steps:

• Know your personal risk factors and family medical history
• Stay up to date with recommended breast cancer screenings
• Be aware of changes in your breasts and discuss anything unusual with your healthcare provider
• Share your family medical history with your healthcare provider to help inform appropriate screening recommendations
