It is *hotter than Freddy Krueger on fire* weather out there right now, so I think it's time to post a PSA about being prepared!
In order to survive the elements, you cannot just chug plain water all day long.
Hear me out: YES, you absolutely must drink your water! Do not skimp on it!
But when you sweat excessively, you aren’t just losing fluids– you could be flushing out vital minerals, too. If you flood your system with only plain water, you can actually dilute your internal balance.
That is a quick recipe for brain fog, muscle cramps, extreme fatigue, and potentially death.
I know, that sounds scary, but that's what I'm here for.
You can use these simple tips to stay balanced:
-Keep track of your daily water goals (I drink a minimum of 64 oz. per day), but don't forget to replenish your minerals with a high-quality electrolyte blend so you can replace your sodium, potassium, and magnesium.
-Alternatively, you can get more sodium (salt) in your diet by literally eating salt.
-Listen to your body when you feel dizzy or sluggish, because it could mean you need water or you could need electrolytes.
-Protect your energy and stay inside where it’s safe when you can.
Stay safe! We're surviving this heatwave together 🔮💜
