Join Us for Lesson Night
Tuesday at 6:30 PM!

Lesson 4 Insanity has been described as "doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result each time." Sanity has been defined as "wholeness of mind; making decisions based on truth."

"It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe." (Proverbs 29:25)

Once we accept that we are powerless to help ourselves, we then, at that point, can turn our lives over to Jesus Christ. Jesus can restore our sanity, provide a wholeness of mind, and give us a new life.

Principle 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.

“Happy are the those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)

Step 2: We come to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

"For it is God who works in you to will and to at in order to fulfil his good purpose." (Philippians 2:13)

What do you keep repeating over and over again but expecting a different result each time?

Celebrate Recovery: Powerless 🌿
In today's lesson, we reflect on the truth that we are powerless without God. It's a humbling and freeing realization. Only through surrender and faith can we begin to heal and find strength.

"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

Admitting that we are powerless doesn’t mean we are weak—it means we are brave enough to acknowledge our need for God’s help. Often, we try to control our lives, our behaviors, and our situations, but it’s in the moment of surrender that we find true freedom. Recovery isn’t about doing it on our own; it’s about trusting that God is the source of our strength and that with Him, all things are possible.

Let us remember that even in our weakness, God's strength is made perfect. When we admit our powerlessness, we make space for God to move in our lives and transform our hearts.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, we come before You today acknowledging our need for Your power. We admit that we cannot do this on our own. Help us to surrender fully to You and trust in Your strength. Heal our hearts, restore our hope, and guide us on the path of recovery. We place our lives in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.

How have you experienced God's strength in your life? Take a moment today to reflect on the areas where you need His help the most.

These men have spent the last several months walking through the 12 Steps and 8 Biblical Principles of Celebrate Recovery, and they’ll be sharing mini testimonies about how the Step Study has changed their lives.

💬 What’s a Step Study?
Step Studies are small, gender-specific groups that dive deep into healing from past hurts, destructive habits, and unhealthy patterns. It's a safe space for honesty, growth, and transformation — guided by biblical truth and supported by others on the same journey.

✨ Why are Step Studies important?
They’re more than just meetings — they’re a structured path to deep healing and spiritual growth. Through prayer, self-reflection, and accountability, participants find freedom from shame, peace from past pain, and purpose for the future.

If you’ve ever wondered if this could be for you — this is the night to come see for yourself!

🙌 A NEW Men’s Step Study is starting soon, and this is your opportunity to learn more and sign up!

Don’t miss it. You were never meant to walk this road alone. 💪

🌿 Celebrate Recovery: Denial 🌿
“Denial” is often the first hurdle we face when starting the journey of recovery. It can be tough to admit that we need help, and even harder to accept the truth about our struggles. But we’re not alone—God is with us every step of the way, guiding us through the darkness and into the light of healing.

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
Reflection:
Denial keeps us trapped in our old ways of thinking and acting. But the truth has the power to set us free. Let’s be honest with ourselves, face our struggles, and trust that God’s truth will lead us toward freedom.

🙏 Prayer for Today:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, acknowledging the times we’ve hidden from the truth and allowed denial to control us. Help us to face our struggles with courage, knowing that Your love and grace are greater than anything we’ve ever faced. Please open our hearts to the truth and guide us on this path to recovery. We trust in Your healing power and Your faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
