🎨💥 Creativity was in full swing at Dyer Nursing Home today!
Our residents enjoyed a fun outdoor activity called Cotton Ball Smash, where they tossed cotton balls soaked in water and colorful food dye at a sheet hanging outside. The result was a beautiful splash of color and a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created through teamwork, laughter, and a little friendly competition!
There were smiles all around as everyone embraced their artistic side, stayed active, and enjoyed the fresh air. Activities like these are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, movement, and social connection while making lasting memories.
A special shoutout to our incredible Therapy Department and Activities Department for partnering together to make this event a success! This collaborative activity not only sparked creativity but also promoted movement, coordination, and engagement in a fun and meaningful way. We appreciate the teamwork and dedication that help make experiences like this possible for our residents.
🌈 Thank you to our amazing residents and staff for making today such a colorful success!

Residents at Dyer Nursing Home enjoyed some sunshine and fresh air today during Gardening Club! 🌱☀️
Today's activities included repotting plants and planting tomatoes in our wheelchair-accessible flower bed. Residents had a wonderful time getting their hands dirty and helping our garden grow.
A special thank you to Brian from the Therapy Department, who assisted one of our residents in standing so she could pot her beautiful mini monstera plant. Moments like these highlight the teamwork, encouragement, and joy that make our community so special.
We can't wait to watch our tomatoes and plants thrive throughout the season! 🍅🌿

Today (May 27th) was a very special day at DNRC as we celebrated the successful completion of rehabilitation for our Administrator, Ms. Glenda McCartney, also known as "The Principal."
After dedicating herself to caring for our residents, patients, staff, and community, she experienced firsthand the rehabilitation journey she has championed for so many others.
It has been an honor for our therapy team and facility family to support her recovery. Her determination, resilience, and positive attitude inspired us every step of the way.
We are thrilled to see her return home strong and ready for the next phase of her recovery with Home Health Services. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We can't wait to welcome you back—not as a patient, but as the exceptional leader we know and appreciate.
Congratulations, and best wishes for continued healing and success.
Your Therapy Team

🇺🇸📬 Dyer Nursing Home is excited to be participating in Flags Across America! 📬🇺🇸
Flags Across America is a wonderful pen pal-style activity that connects nursing homes and care facilities from across the country. Participants exchange their state flags through the mail or digitally, creating opportunities to learn about different states, make new connections, and celebrate the unique communities that make up our nation.
Our residents have enjoyed being part of this special project, exploring states beyond Tennessee and sharing a little piece of our home with others. It's a fun and meaningful way to encourage social engagement, spark conversations, and foster friendships across state lines.
We look forward to receiving and sharing more flags as we continue this journey across America—one flag at a time! ❤️🤍💙

Feel free to add how many state flags you've received so far or include photos of residents displaying the flags they've collected.

☀️🌈 Fresh air, sunshine, bubbles, and smiles made for a perfect day at Dyer Nursing Home!
Our residents enjoyed spending time outdoors soaking up the beautiful weather while participating in some breezy yoga, listening to music, and blowing bubbles. While yoga was on the agenda, the bubbles definitely stole the show! 🫧😄
There were plenty of laughs, lots of floating bubbles, and even more smiles as everyone relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon together. It was wonderful to see our residents having so much fun, making memories, and embracing the simple joys of a sunny day.
Days like these remind us that a little sunshine, good music, and a lot of bubbles can brighten everyone's day! ☀️🎶🫧❤️

The Therapy Department at Bells Nursing and Rehab received a very special surprise visit from John “Carlo” Spencer and his wife. Carlo stopped by to personally thank the therapy team for helping him regain the strength and independence needed to return home.
Carlo shared, “I’m so glad y’all didn’t give up on me. This therapy really works.”
Since returning home, Carlo and his wife have been enjoying life together again — attending church, going to ball games, visiting friends, and going out to eat.
Our therapy team is incredibly grateful that Carlo trusted us to be part of his rehabilitation journey. Seeing our patients return home and enjoy the moments that matter most is one of the reasons we do what we do every day.
