Kicking off our Kenya journey! 🇰🇪

After landing in Kenya, we jumped right in—some of our team volunteered at the medical clinic for the Mara Ultramarathon, a 50km race winding through the breathtaking Mara North Conservancy. The event supports wildlife conservation, environmental protection, and the health of the local community, and it was an honor to play a small role in it.

Race day brought a handful of dehydration cases and one more serious episode of heat exhaustion that needed active cooling and rehydration. Thankfully, everyone recovered well and no evacuations were needed. 🙏

Witnessing the collaboration between rangers, volunteers, runners, and the local community was inspiring. It was the perfect reminder of how much we can accomplish when we support one another.

A beautiful way to begin our two and a half weeks in Kenya—more stories to come. 🌍✨

🌍✈️ We’re Headed Back to Kenya! 🦓❤️
In a little over 6 weeks, our team at Scenic NW Surgical Outreach will return to the Mara Triangle in Kenya to provide free surgical services directly to the Mara tribe and surrounding communities.

Each year, we witness the incredible impact of accessible healthcare in this remote region—and we couldn’t do it without your support.
