As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, everyone at Visiting Nurses Home Care would like to wish our employees, patients, families, and community a happy, healthy, and safe Independence Day!

As you enjoy your holiday celebrations, please keep these important safety tips in mind:

✨ Firework Safety
• Hold sparklers at arm's length and away from clothing.
• Did you know? Sparklers can burn at temperatures hot enough to melt metal!

💧 Stay Hydrated
• Drink a cup of water every 15–20 minutes, even if you don't feel thirsty.

☀️ Beat the Heat
• Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
• Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, including dizziness, a rapid heartbeat, confusion, nausea, and excessive sweating.

🐾 Keep Pets Safe
• Keep your furry family members indoors during fireworks to help reduce stress and prevent them from becoming frightened or running away.
