The Center for Donation & Transplant (CDT) was established in 1972 and is one of 58 federally designated non-profit organ procurement organizations in the United States. CDT is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by Chief Executive Officer, Michael Thibault. CDT is a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), which houses the national computer system of patients waiting for tr

ansplants, and is also an accredited member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO). CDT serves a total of 30 counties in New York and Vermont, as well as Fairview Hospital in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

There are no words that can fully encompass the depth of your heartbreak, nor are there words that can fully capture the magnitude of your extraordinary generosity. In your darkest hour, faced with the unimaginable loss of your beautiful boy, you made a choice that requires a profound, selfless courage.Thank you for saying "yes" to organ donation. By choosing to give the gift of life in the midst of your own grief, you have answered the desperate prayers of families who were running out of time. Because of your young son, other children are given the chance to grow up, to hit milestones, and to share more precious moments with those who love them. He is, in every sense of the word, a true hero. Please know that your son’s legacy will live on, not only in the lives he saved, but in the hearts of everyone who learns of his incredible gift. We hold your family in our thoughts and hope you find comfort in knowing that your boy's light continues to shine brightly in this world.
