Our mobile health unit, Whitney on Wheels, provides medical care at schools, public housing and community centers in Albany and Rensselaer counties. Through a collaborative dental program with the Healthy Capital District (HCD), Seal a Smile delivers preventative dental care at schools throughout our community and has recently added on-site restorative care to over 70 schools. WYH works to alleviate patients’ barriers to accessing care. We provide transportation, translation services, patient education, nutrition, and case management services. In addition, WYH employs culturally diverse clinical and support staff. More than 8% of our patient population reports speaking a language other than English. To assist these patients, WYH provides interpreters and utilizes technology-based interpretation services .

Whitney Young Health was proud to attend BIPOC Pride this weekend and connect with so many members of our community.

Throughout the day, our team shared information about services including PrEP, HIV and Hepatitis C screening and treatment, primary care, and other healthcare resources available through Whitney Young Health. More importantly, we had meaningful conversations, listened to people's experiences, and built connections that reflect our commitment to serving everyone with dignity and respect.

As a longtime supporter and sponsor of Pride celebrations and events like these, we are grateful for the opportunity to show up, engage with the community, and help connect people to the care and resources they need.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and spent time with us.

At Whitney Young Health, your pharmacy is part of your care team.

Whitney Young Health Rx was created to make care more connected and convenient for our patients. After seeing your provider, you can fill your prescriptions right at your health center instead of making another trip across town.

Our pharmacy team works closely with providers to answer questions, help patients understand their medications, navigate insurance challenges, and support better health outcomes.

That means more coordinated care, all in one place.

In the midst of ongoing attacks against our communities, especially our trans siblings, the sponsors of the 20th Anniversary: Say it Loud! BIPOC* Pride 🏳️‍🌈🙌🏾 decided to stand with us.

They're here to remind you that you matter, the world is a better place with you in it, and to not let anyone steal your joy.

Community, join us in thanking them for their partnership and support of our work!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Women's Health & Wellness Screening Event at our Swinburne Health Center!

We were thrilled to see such a great turnout as community members stopped by for health screenings, wellness resources, education, games, snacks, and opportunities to connect with care and support services. Events like these help make preventive healthcare more accessible while creating a fun and welcoming environment for all.

This event was made possible through funding from a CVS Health grant, helping us expand access to preventive care and women's health resources throughout our community.

We look forward to continuing this work and seeing you at future events!
