πŸ•ŠοΈ A Special Visitor Today πŸ•ŠοΈ

Today, a beautiful white dove appeared at our center, bringing a moment of peace and wonder to everyone who saw it.

In many spiritual traditions, a white dove symbolizes peace, hope, purity, divine guidance, and new beginnings. It is often seen as a gentle reminder to trust the journey, open our hearts, and embrace healing and harmony. Some believe a white dove's presence is a sign that we are being supported, protected, and encouraged to move forward.

Whether this unexpected visitor was simply passing through or brought a deeper message, it offered us a beautiful pause to reflect on the peace that exists within and around us.

May this dove's visit inspire calm, renewal, and blessings for all who enter our doors. 🀍✨

One sunset. Same sky. Different views.

Life is like that β€” the same moment can feel completely different depending on where you stand, what you’ve been through. Be kind.

In this video two past and present youth treatment center counselors discuss their experiences and lessons learned during the collaborative treatment of offering trauma-informed equine assisted learning for their clients. In this conversation, Cookie the horse helps counselors and mental health clients explore the power of breath as a pathway to emotional regulation and nervous system safety.

Through slow, intentional breathing participants are invited to experience co-regulation in real time. Cookie’s experience offers a living example of what it means for the nervous system to settle, shift, and return to safety through connection rather than control.

This video highlights core principles of trauma-informed care, including choice, safety, and present-moment awareness. Viewers will observe how breath becomes a bridgeβ€”supporting clients in moving from states of activation or shut down toward grounded awareness and increased emotional capacity. The importance of a strength-based approach and exploring the transfer of the lessons to life.

Key themes include:
β€’ Co-regulation between human and horse
β€’ Breath as a tool for emotional regulation
β€’ Nervous system awareness and safety cues
β€’ Trauma-informed therapeutic presence
β€’ Building capacity for calm through relationship
β€’ Strength based approach
β€’ Transferring lessons of the horse to life

Cookie reminds us that healing does not always begin with words. Sometimes it begins with breath, presence, and a shared moment of safety.

On this Memorial Day, we are reminded of the quiet wisdom found in horse herds. Horses practice mutual grooming β€” standing side by side, caring for one another, building trust through connection despite differences in rank, personality, or role within the herd.

It feels like a lesson our society still needs.

The men and women we honor today came from different backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life, yet they stood together in service of something greater than themselves: protecting one another, protecting freedom, and protecting the idea that unity matters more than division.

Maybe healing in our communities begins the same way it does in the herd β€” with small acts of care, respect, and willingness to stand beside each other.

Today we remember those who gave everything for that ideal. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
