This weekend is going to be a very, very, VERY busy one for our family and business, so I wanted to take a little time now to say something that deserves more than a rushed post.
Thank you all for ONE wonderful year.
One year ago, I stepped into this with a dream, a whole lot of faith, and absolutely no idea just how much this little business would grow (and was called crazy way more than once). Over the past year, we’ve had the honor of caring for more than 2,000 people. And while that number is incredible, it’s the stories behind that number that mean the most.
There’s the person who came in simply needing hydration. The patient who finally felt heard after searching for answers. The person working toward a healthier version of themselves. The exhausted mama who just needed to feel human again. The patients who trusted us during some of the hardest seasons of their lives. The ones we’ve laughed with, cried with, prayed with, celebrated with, and watched make incredible progress.
But if you’ve been with us this past year, you also know that our family has lived a whole lot of life right alongside this business. We opened NBMC while I was still very much in the freshly postpartum, just a couple of months after having Cru (2.5 months to be exact). We were learning how to run a growing business while also learning how to be a family of four.
Our boys have grown up inside the clinic walls. There have been days when childcare fell through, schedules overlapped, or life simply happened, and Caison and Cru had to come to work with us. And I will never forget how gracious you all have been about that. You’ve talked to them, played with them, brought them little treats, laughed when they interrupted us, and loved on our babies instead of ever making us feel like they were in the way. As their mama, that has meant more to me than I could ever put into words. And then, in the middle of building this dream and getting comfortably moved into our Albertville location, our family walked through one of our hardest seasons when we lost our baby.
We grieved while continuing to show up. We cared for people while our own hearts were hurting. And so many of you cared for us in return. You prayed for us, checked on us, hugged us, cried with us, and gave us grace on the days when we weren’t quite ourselves.
And now, as we celebrate one year, we’re expecting our miracle baby.
There’s something so special about looking back and realizing that this business hasn’t just grown alongside our family, it has been woven into our family’s story. You’ve watched our babies grow, watched us walk through heartbreak, watched God restore our joy, and now you’re watching our family grow again.
Some came through our doors once. Others have become familiar faces we look forward to seeing every week or month. And somewhere along the way, so many of you became more than patients, you became our friends and part of our NBMC family.
This year has stretched us, humbled us, taught us, and blessed us beyond anything we could have imagined. There have been a lot of long days, MANY late nights, growing pains, answered prayers, closed doors that led to better ones, and moments where we’ve looked around and thought, “How did we get here?” And the answer is always the same: God has been so, so good to us.
Thank you for trusting us with your health. Thank you for telling your friends and family about us. Thank you for sharing our posts, leaving reviews, sending encouraging messages, and continuing to walk through our doors. Every appointment, referral, kind word, and prayer has helped build what NBMC is today. We don’t take a single bit of it for granted.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing our family to serve yours.
Here’s to YEAR TWO and wherever the Lord leads us next.
