"Well, that's just part of getting older."

Have you ever been told that when you brought up aches, pains, stiffness, or injuries? It’s one of the most common things we hear from new clients, and honestly, it causes a lot of people to settle for less than they should.

The truth is that getting older and feeling older are not always the same thing. We’ve worked with runners, golfers, hikers, CrossFit athletes, dancers, and active adults of all ages who were told their pain was simply something they had to live with.

At Artistry in Motion, we don't assume your pain is "just aging" because of a number on your driver's license. We take the time to perform a thorough assessment, look at how you move, learn about your goals, and understand the activities that matter most to you. Your plan is built around you, not your age, an image report, or a generic protocol.

If you're tired of being told to slow down, stop doing what you love, or accept pain as normal, maybe it's time for a different conversation. Click the link in our bio to schedule a free discovery call and learn how our one-on-one, individualized approach can help you keep doing the things you love for years to come.

Some exercises look simple until it's your turn to do them. Sled pushes and pulls are a perfect example.

This week we're highlighting Jo as she puts in the work with one of our favorite performance-building exercises. Sled work challenges your legs, core, lungs, and mental toughness all at once while staying surprisingly friendly on the joints. That's a win for athletes and active adults alike.

One of the reasons we love sled pushes and pulls is that they build real-world strength. Whether you're hiking steep trails, skiing, carrying groceries, chasing grandkids, or training for your next competition, this type of full-body effort transfers directly to life outside the gym.

At Artistry in Motion, we're not just focused on helping you recover from injury. We're focused on helping you build a stronger, more resilient body for the long haul. If you're ready to stop limiting your activities and start training for what you love, book a call through the link in our bio.

Most people think physical therapy starts and ends with getting rid of pain. We see it a little differently. Pain relief is important, but it's only the first step. If all you do is calm the symptoms without addressing why they started in the first place, there's a good chance you'll find yourself right back where you started a few months later.

That's why Dr. Arlianne follows our 3-C Process with every client. First, we CALM your pain. Then we CORRECT the underlying root cause through personalized treatment, strength training, mobility work, and lifestyle factors. Finally, we help you CONQUER your long-term goals so you can return to the activities you love with confidence.

Whether your goal is hiking in the Sandias, running a race, crushing a CrossFit workout, dancing on stage, playing pickleball, or simply moving through life without limitations, your care should be about more than just feeling better today. If you're ready for a plan built around lasting results, book a call through the link in our bio.

You can have the perfect exercise program, the best treatment plan, and all the motivation in the world. If your sleep is struggling, your recovery may be too. Sleep is when your body does some of its best repair work. It's when tissues recover, muscles adapt, and your nervous system gets a chance to recharge from the demands of training, work, parenting, and life.

That's one reason we talk about sleep so often at Artistry in Motion. Most people expect physical therapy to focus on exercises and stretches, but if we want long-term results, we have to look at the whole picture. Sleep is one of the biggest pieces of that puzzle.

If you've been frustrated by slow progress, recurring aches and pains, or feeling like your body just isn't bouncing back the way it should, it may be time to look beyond the injury itself. Book a call through the link in our bio and let's create a plan that helps you recover better, move better, and feel better.

We're kicking off a new weekly series all about RDLs (Romanian Deadlifts). Over the next several weeks, we'll be sharing different RDL variations that help build strength, balance, mobility, and resilience from the ground up.

Balance, strength, mobility, and coordination all wrapped into one movement. That's why we love the Walking Bodyweight Hip Hinge. This exercise challenges your hamstrings, glutes, and core while teaching your body how to control movement on a single leg. It's one thing to be strong in the gym. It's another thing to stay strong and stable while moving through real life.

As you work through this drill, focus on pushing your hips back, keeping your spine long, and moving with control. If you feel your balance getting challenged, that's not a bad thing—it's your body learning and adapting.

Whether you're a runner, hiker, skier, golfer, pickleball player, or someone who simply wants to move better, exercises like this can help build a stronger foundation. If pain, stiffness, or injury is keeping you from doing the activities you love, book a call through the link in our bio and let's create a plan built specifically for you.

Progress doesn't always look flashy. Sometimes it looks like showing up, putting in the work, and getting a little stronger every single week.

Today's athlete spotlight goes to Jo, who is working through a downward dog to lunge to hamstring curl progression. What looks like one exercise is actually challenging mobility, stability, strength, balance, and body awareness all at the same time.

One of the things we love most about working with active adults is helping them build confidence in movements they may have never thought possible. The goal isn't just to get out of pain. The goal is to move better, feel stronger, and create a body that's ready for whatever adventure comes next.

If you've been avoiding certain movements because of pain, stiffness, or fear of re-injury, it may be time for a different approach. Book a call through the link in our bio and let's create a plan that helps you get back to doing the things you love with confidence.

One of the greatest compliments we can receive is when someone trusts us not just with their own recovery, but with the health of the people they love most.

Katie and her husband have both trusted us through multiple injuries, and their experience highlights something we believe deeply: great physical therapy should be about more than just getting rid of pain. It should help you move better, feel stronger, and set you up for long-term success.

That's why we take a holistic approach to care. We don't just look at the sore shoulder, aching back, or nagging knee. We look at the bigger picture, including your goals, lifestyle, movement habits, sleep, recovery, and everything else that may be influencing how you feel.

If you're looking for a more personalized approach and want a provider who takes the time to truly understand you, we'd love to help. Book a call through the link in our bio and experience the difference that one-on-one care can make.

Most people think recovery happens during their PT session. The truth is, that's only a small part of the equation. What you do during the other 167 hours of the week matters just as much. The quality of your sleep, how well you recover from training, and the way you fuel your body all influence how quickly you heal and how well you perform.

That's why we talk so much about our Big 3: sleep, recovery, and nutrition. Traditional PT often focuses on exercises alone, but we know lasting results happen when you address the habits that support your body outside the clinic too.

If you've been doing all the exercises but still feel like your progress has stalled, there may be another piece of the puzzle missing. Book a call through the link in our bio and let's create a plan that supports your recovery from every angle.

Your ankles do a lot more work than most people give them credit for. Every step, squat, hike, run, jump, and lift starts with what happens at the foot and ankle.

These "Squish the Bug" intrinsic foot-to-soleus stretches and ankle mobility circles are great for improving ankle motion, waking up the small stabilizing muscles in your feet, and helping your body move more efficiently from the ground up. Sometimes the key to better movement isn't working harder—it's moving better.

Take your time with these drills and pay attention to what you feel. If one ankle feels stiffer, weaker, or less coordinated than the other, you've probably uncovered something worth working on.

Small improvements at the foot and ankle can create big changes throughout the rest of the body. If you're dealing with foot, ankle, knee, hip, or even back issues, book a call through the link in our bio and let's build a plan that gets you moving with more confidence.
