Speech-language pathology services need your support. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have proposed policy changes that may negatively affect access to speech therapy for both pediatric and adult patients. These changes could significantly limit the availability of services. These changes are scheduled to begin in January 2027,
Your voice matters. Your experiences, your stories, and your perspectives are critical in helping policymakers understand the impact of these services. The Speak Project has created an easy way for patients, families, and caregivers to share their input.

On the Speak Project website, you will be guided through five prompts to help you describe your experiences with speech therapy. After completing the prompts, you may consent to having a letter drafted on your behalf. This letter will be sent to key members of the Senate Finance Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee, and the House Commerce Committee. Each submission generates a unique letter using your exact responses, and copies are addressed individually to the targeted committee members.
