A Day of Fishing! 🎣

Some of our La Paloma Greenhouse team recently took a break from their usual routine to enjoy a fishing trip at Alameda Open Space!

It was a chance to spend time outdoors, enjoy each other's company, and do something a little different. And to make the day even better, Kenny caught a catfish!

Sometimes, the best moments happen outside of the workday. 💚

In 2000, ARCA continued opening doors to employment through partnerships with local businesses. 💚💛

Through these partnerships, people gained hands-on experience, learned new skills, and earned a paycheck.

With support from ARCA's employment programs, people could take on new responsibilities and become more independent in the workplace.

It was another important step in ARCA's efforts to create more opportunities for the people we serve.

Stephanie loves being out in the community and spending time with others. 💚 A movie fan and collector, she enjoys going to the movies, finding memorabilia from her favorites, and browsing her iPad for something new and interesting.

In 1999, ARCA opened its third La Paloma Greenhouse in Corrales, creating more opportunities for people to learn new skills and get involved in the community. 💚💛

From growing plants to preparing them for sale, ARCA’s La Paloma Greenhouse offered opportunities to build independence and take pride in meaningful work.

With support from community partners, the greenhouse continued to grow, along with the opportunities it provided.

In 1998, ARCA was working to open more doors to the community through accessible transportation. 💚💛

Access to a wheelchair accessible van meant more opportunities to get out, participate in activities, and be part of the community.

That year, ARCA raised funds for a new accessible van to help make those opportunities possible for the people we serve.

It was another step toward greater independence, access, and community participation.
