🎶 There is always room for a little music.
Our Fall 2026 Arts-in-Medicine Concert Series is officially underway!
Each Wednesday, we're bringing talented musicians into the Pavillion Café at UNM Hospital to create moments of music, connection, and respite for patients, families, visitors, and healthcare staff.
We know that a hospital can be a busy and sometimes difficult place. A song won't change everything—but sometimes a few minutes of beautiful music can change a moment. And sometimes, that's exactly what someone needs.

Join us Wednesdays from noon–1 p.m. for our Fall 2026 concert series. Take a look at the schedule, find a concert that speaks to you, and come spend a little time with us.
🎵 Wednesdays | 12–1 p.m.
📍 BBRP Café, UNM Hospital
We'd love to see you there.

🐺 Looking for a class that's unlike anything else you'll take at UNM?
If you're still rounding out your fall schedule, consider Caring for Self & Other: Anatomy, Illness and the Healing Arts—an innovative, interdisciplinary course that explores the intersection of anatomy, illness, creativity, and compassionate care.
Through a unique blend of science and the healing arts, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the human body while engaging in creative practices that cultivate observation, empathy, reflection, and whole-person care. Whether you're majoring in the sciences, the arts, psychology, liberal arts, or another field, this course offers a fresh perspective on health, healing, and the human experience.

🌿 Not a UNM student but still interested in taking the course? Community members are also welcome to participate through our non-credit registration option.

📩 To learn more about community registration, contact Melissa Sandoval, Arts-in-Medicine Program Coordinator, at [email protected].
Come discover how art, science, and compassion come together in one truly unique learning experience.

🎵 Music has a unique way of reaching people when words fall short.
On Make Music Day, we celebrate the musicians who bring beauty, comfort, and connection to patients, family members, and healthcare professionals throughout UNM Hospital and the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
A familiar melody can spark a memory. A gentle tune can ease anxiety. A live performance can transform an ordinary moment into something meaningful.
Today, we honor the healing power of music and the dedicated musicians who share their talents in service of others. 💙
