๐Ÿ‚ Meet Taliah Nance, joining our team for the fall season!

Weโ€™re happy to welcome Taliah to A Step Above Massage from October through December! ๐ŸคŽ Sheโ€™ll be starting October 17 and offering sessions every Saturday from 9 AM to 1:30 PM.

Taliah is a newly licensed massage therapist trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. She was drawn to massage therapy because she wanted to do something meaningful: help people slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and find a little more balance in a fast-paced world.

Her own experience navigating TMJ and jaw issues shaped the way she cares for others. She understands how important it is to feel heard and taken seriously, which is why she approaches every session with patience, attention, and care. Her goal is for every client to feel safe, supported, and more comfortable in their body, whether they need focused relief from tension or simply a quiet moment to unwind.

Weโ€™re excited to have Taliah as part of our team this season! ๐ŸคŽ

Interested in booking a session with her? Send us a text at 505-449-7554 or book online https://clientportal.us.zandahealth.com/clientportal/astepabovemassage/home to learn more or reserve your Saturday appointment!

A little update from the AMTA Conference ๐Ÿ’›

One of the topics that really stayed with me was oncology massage and the thoughtful approach it requires.

I learned that itโ€™s not simply about learning different techniques. Itโ€™s about understanding the whole person, communicating well, paying attention to timing and treatment history, and knowing when to adapt, proceed carefully, or refer out.

But one of the biggest reminders for me was this:

A person is so much more than their diagnosis.

Massage can be a space where someone gets to feel cared for as a whole person, not just as a patient.

Iโ€™m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning and bringing that knowledge back into my work at A Step Above Massage. ๐Ÿ’›
