This Fourth of July, our country turns 250 years old — and we can't think of better company to celebrate it with than the residents of our BeeHive Homes here in New Mexico.

Many of them wore the uniform. All of them have watched this nation change in ways that once would have sounded like science fiction — from radios in the living room to video calls with their great-grandchildren. They've lived these years with hope, and they tell the story better than any history book.

This Independence Day, we'll do what families do: gather, give thanks, and enjoy a little red, white, and blue together. To the veterans among us and every resident who has carried these years — thank you.
