You can’t avoid stress, but you can prepared to handle it in a healthy way.
Many people think resilience means being able to handle more stress.
But that's not how the brain works.
A healthy, well-regulated brain isn't one that never experiences stress. It's one that can recover efficiently after the stress has passed.
The problem isn't always the stressful event itself. The problem is when the brain gets stuck in a state of hypervigilance, overwhelm, or overactivation and struggles to return to balance.
Stress is a normal part of life.
Recovery is what matters.
