Our Activities Director, Vincent, took our residents to the Albuquerque Isotopes and it was a home run! It was amazing to see everyone enjoying a new experience together, soaking up the sunshine, and cheering on the game. We're so grateful to the Isotopes for making this memorable day possible, and bringing us all outside, connecting, and creating fun moments we'll cherish. Here’s to more adventures and new traditions as a community!

Roy took Kerry on a delightful tour of our community garden, sharing stories and their mutual love for plants along the way. They spent the afternoon enjoying the warm sunshine, discovering new blooms, and soaking in the peaceful beauty of nature together. It was a perfect moment of friendship and growth, where every step through the garden brought smiles and a deeper connection to the world around them.

Our residents took creativity to new heights with a balloon blotting activity, using balloons as paintbrushes to craft stunning flower masterpieces. The result was a truly unique display of beauty, showcasing not only the vibrant blooms but also the incredible painting skills of our talented residents. Each flower burst with color and personality, making this art session an unforgettable celebration of creativity and artistic flair!

Step back in time with us to 1776 at our Colonial Tavern Night! Our activities director, Vincent, truly brought history to life with an opening speech dressed in full colonial attire, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The celebration soared as Santana from the Isotopes delivered a powerful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, igniting patriotic spirit. Chef Dakota wowed everyone with a hearty feast featuring fresh beef stew, rustic sourdough bread, homemade apple and peach pies, and a delightful cheese platter. The night was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of families coming together to honor America’s 250th anniversary. It was more than a dinner—it was a vibrant community celebration that left everyone smiling and proud.

We have so enjoyed our prelude to our nation’s 250th Anniversary here at The Grand! We have shared stories about our country’s milestones, history, and collaborated on displays.

Our “What America means to me” is a beautiful display with residents’ sentiments…a wonderful read.

This weekend we will be celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary at our Tavern Night Dinner! We can’t wait!!

We know how to LUAU!!!
Our community transformed into a tropical paradise for our Open House Luau! With Tahitian dancers bringing the island vibes to life, residents and guests enjoyed a dinner and show like no other. Our head cook Dakota made a wonderful Hawaiian-inspired dinner that perfectly complemented the festive atmosphere. From Blue Lagoon Lemonade to Pineapple Sunrise and Piña Coladas, every sip was a taste of paradise. Huge shoutout to our amazing staff who went above and beyond to make this beachside luau unforgettable for current residents, our future residents and their families!

Our community outing to the ABQ BioPark Aquarium was absolutely unforgettable, especially as we celebrated National Aquarium Month! Our residents were completely mesmerized by the stunning underwater world around them. The highlight? A special behind-the-scenes tour led by none other than our soon-to-be resident, Robert! He gave us an exclusive look into the fascinating sea life that shares our planet, deepening our understanding and appreciation for these incredible creatures. Beyond the fun, outings like this spark curiosity, promote learning, and strengthen our community bonds truly a day full of wonder, connection, and celebration! Thank you all ABQ BioPark Aquarium for a magical day!

From our loving home to yours… Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads and father figures making a difference every day!

Cruising down Route 66 with good company and great vibes! Our Father’s Day and Gentlemen’s Honor Hour was packed with classic club sandwiches, root beer, and Route 66-inspired cupcakes that hit the sweet spot. The real thrill came from the electric car race showdown, where our very own Kerry sped to victory, proudly taking home the prize generously donated by Luna Vista Home Health. To top it off, A Place at Home made sure every gentleman left with a special mug filled with take-home goodies—a perfect keepsake from a day full of fun, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories on the open road!

Our residents and The Grand team enjoy celebrating America’s 250th birthday everyday. Our timeline was so much fun sharing birthdates, history and fond memories. A walk down memory lane. We are all so proud to be an American!
